Peacock Moden GmbH

For over 25 years, Peacock Moden GmbH has been a retail textile business with shops in Münster, East Westphalia, the Ruhr region and Lower Saxony.

The Peacock portfolio encompasses well-known designer labels including, among others, Comma, Colmar, Please, Emily, Gang, Better Rich, Freeman T Porter, Frieda & Freddie’s, and Como No1 as well as classic, elegant fashion from Mos Mosh, Rich & Royal, Blonde No. 8, Blaumax and Ana Alcazar. They also carry the private labels BREAVE, Rose’s and Mary’s Tears.

Entire Sales Process

On August 8, 2019, Peacock Moden GmbH executive board filed for bankruptcy. Münster district court appointed Stefan Meyer (Münster) of the PLUTA Rechtsanwalts (Chancellery)  GmbH as interim insolvency administrator. Stefan Meyer opened the insolvency proceedings on November 1, 2019.  

Upon filing for insolvency, Peacock Moden GmbH employed 111 workers.

The Peacock Moden GmbH executive board and their interim insolvency administrator exclusively charged managing partner Jörg Schuppener and his CVM Capital Value Management GmbH team with executing a structured M&A process. The smooth cooperation with PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH enabled CVM to successfully position Peacock on the sales market. Both the insolvency administrator and board of creditors agreed to the sale.

As of April 1, 2020, PEACOCK Moden GmbH will be owned by the newly established DaLe Vertriebs GmbH. Daniel Leffers, DaLe Vertriebs GmbH CEO, also directs the well-known family business Leos Jeans Handels GmbH, which currently operates in 48 locations throughout Germany.

The new proprietor will retain and assume on April 1, 2020 all employees as well as 9 shops in Ahaus, Bocholt, Borken, Coesfeld, Dülmen, Lingen, Rhede, Stadtlohn and Werne.
