Prokuwa Kunststoff GmbH produces glazing and screen systems under the brand name prokulit® primarily for commercial and industrial buildings. In addition, special products for the DIY market are produced and sold by retailers in hardware stores. Prokuwa has its key markets in the DACH-region, Benelux and Scandinavia. The production site is located in Dortmund, Germany, and will be continued after the sale.

In October 2017, the management of Prokuwa Kunststoff GmbH filed for insolvency at the local court in Dortmund. On 10th October 2017, the local court in Dortmund appointed lawyer, Mr. Markus Birkmann (Dortmund) from BBL Bernsau Brockdorff, as the (preliminary) insolvency administrator over the assets of the company.

In February 2018, the assets of the insolvent company were sold to Jupiter 167 GmbH (future Gallina Deutschland GmbH), part of the Italian dott.gallina-group. The company takes on all employees. dott.gallina is also active in plastics processing and produces plastic profiles for the construction and automotive industries, in particular solid sheets, multi-wall sheets and glazing panels made of transparent plastics such as polycarbonate. The family business from La Loggia / Turin has further production sites in Greece, India, Turkey and the USA. The acquisition enables dott.gallina to further expand its market presence in Germany.

The insolvency administrator mandated CVM Capital Value Management GmbH to support the search for an investor for the insolvent company. Potential investors have already expressed interest in the company at an early stage. The CVM team led by Dominik Jaretzke conducted the entire sales process, from the identification of potential investors and the selection of the ideal partner to the successful finalization of the transaction in the beginning of February 2018.
